Argo chronicles an amazing rescue operation that the CIA orchestrated during the Iran hostage crisis. I don’t want to spoil the fun of watching this film and hence I do not want to reveal what marvelous ploy the CIA came up with to get a few diplomats out of Iran.

The film starts with a tremendous scene where the Iranian masses storm the American Embassy and take the hostages. The scene is so well done that you almost fear for your own life just sitting the movie theatre. What is lacking a bit under the novice hands of Ben Afleck’s directorship is getting us to connect better with the diplomats who are fearing for their life while hiding in the Canadian embassy.
