The Intouchables

This delightful French comedy made me laugh many times. The charm rests in brining together two people from the opposite side of the French social spectrum.

A superrich paralyzed businessman with refined tastes recruits a young black who just got out prison to be his nurse. The back man knows pop music but little else and prefers to live off government handout than honest work.  The film is based on a “true story” but the writers enhanced the script to turn it into a funny movie that celebrates friendship across the social divisions that typically separate rich and poor.
