I read that what people like about this film is that it portrays the trials and tribulations of married life so well. How often have we heard, “Marriage I hard. It requires work.” I have seen many marriages struggle and fail but I have never seen anything as creepy as the marriage at the center of Gone Girl. This is not your average couple struggling with making a marriage work. This is a couple where one spouse is a psychopath. So only if you want to see a how a psychopath responds to the other partner cheating, you will enjoy this film. Otherwise you will simply be happy that your partner is not psychopath.
