Below I post what the pollsters predicted for the electoral college outcomes. In less then two hours we will start seeing result. This will be an exciting election night, perhaps even a cliffhanger.
Nate Silver of the NY Times put Romney’s odds of winning the electoral count at 8%. He writes: “As any poker player knows, those 8 percent chances do come up once in a while. If it happens this year, then a lot of polling firms will have to re-examine their assumptions — and we will have to re-examine ours about how trustworthy the polls are. But the odds are that Mr. Obama will win another term.”
Mitt Romney has been running for president for almost six years. There is little he can do now to determine the final outcome. Tuesday evening will (or if it really close perhaps much later) will he find out whether he will become a leading actor in history or just a footnote. AP reports:
